"Intimate partner violence is not confined just to a spouse, it can be anyone living in the home," said Kristin Batstone, new executive director of The Women’s Center in New Bedford.
Batstone said it takes a survivor seven to nine times to leave an abusive situation for the last time, and it's especially difficult if you have no place to go. Read more by clicking HERE
S.H.E. Strides thanks our generous participants, donors, and sponsors.
We walk for safety, hope, and empowerment.
Tomorrow, October 5th is the day that we come together to walk and raise awareness of domestic violence.
We walk for the survivors in hopes that they may continue their path of safety, hope, and empowerment.
All of this would not be possible without the generous support of our participants, donors, and sponsors. We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Without such support we would not be able to offer our services to survivors from the cities and towns that make up the SouthCoast Communities.
