Civilian Police Advocacy
In partnership with the Office of Violence Against Women, Civilian Police Advocates (“CPAs”) work in 18 out of the 20 police departments in Bristol County to provide advocacy, resources, court accompaniment, crisis intervention, and safety planning to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. CPAs review police reports and serve as the liaison between survivors and police officers, meeting with survivors in court, the police stations, or over the phone. We also offer domestic violence trainings for law enforcement officers and connect with local businesses to educate our community.
